Aedon is the lawful good monotheistic God of law, stability and the sun. His church teaches that a life of stability and order is the only way to find personal salvation, and He set the regularity of sunrise and sunset to follow as an example.

As the Watchful Eye of Heaven he is all-knowing and all-seeing, and he is both a protector watching over his people and a judge. He is the protector God of Thule, and as such He is revered by all enlightened people in the empire. His strict commands include the following:

✦ Obey the law and respect tradition.

✦ Live orderly, regular lives.

✦ Deny false “gods” their place as gods. Aedon is the one true God.

Sects and Heresies

• The Aedonian Church is the state religion of the Thulian empire.

• The Cult of the Invisible God worship Aedon as the neutral and balanced creator of the universe, and does not believe the sun is a manifestation of the Eye of Heaven. Cultists believe the universe is governed by impersonal forces, set in place by Aedon when he created the world.

• The Dark Sun Heresy worships Aedon as an unaligned elder sun god, who died and fought his way back out of the underworld. They don't see the use of necrotic forces as evil, even though it's described as a sin in the Bible.

• The Whispering Wind is a sectarian assassin guild dedicated to Aedon.
