In the final years of The Hundred-Year Peace the Sun God Aedon sent his son, The Messiah, to the world to try again to reunite the peoples of the world: not under one emperor this time, but under One God.

The Messiah made it to the gates of Memnon, where he was betrayed by Iscariot, one of his apostles. The messiah was captured and nailed to the Mother Tree on the hill in the center of the city. He remained alive in this horrible state for a period of 50 days and 50 nights, until King Astavier of Memnon had enough and gave the order to run him through with a spear. However, according to the ancient document known as The Truth it was not the spear that killed the Messiah, but Helios' Dagger.

The eleven remaining apostles took revenge by leveling the city to the ground. They then build a tomb for The Messiah on the site of his death and swore a blood oath to reunite the whole northern continent under the rule of Aedon.

The apostolic army went about the the continent, commanded by the now immortal apostles. This time around nobody was strong enough to fight back. Eight Years later the Thule empire was a fact.

Cults and Sects

According to the Holy Book of Aedon, Helios was the last to talk to the Messiah at the Mother Tree before he died. The Messiah asked not to be worshipped after his death, but instead prayers should be directed to his father Aedon, the one true God. As a result, there's no real worship of the Messiah. It is commonly acknowledged that prayers to the Messiah are not answered.
